Sometimes I forget the day..
This week I have been trying to get ready for my first nursing EXAM.
Its over infection control, vital signs, critical thinking, safety, nursing asessment, nursing diagnosis, nursing intervention, oxygenation, some dosage calulations, and then acroynms.
Its been almost 5 weeks and all that information plus a 5 page resource analysis paper in APA format.
Friday we are going to the red cross to give free blood pressures. I have spent time on other students and in a simulation lab checking for respirator rates, pulse rates, temperatures (VARIOUS TYPES), oxygenation saturation, and blood pressure. I was surprised my first time around in the simulation lab I passed vitals and theraputic communication. My first pre-test of theraputic communication, which didn't count, I failed. I guess they wanted to see my baseline. It's all about being patient , empathetic, and assertive.

Tommorrow I am going to an information session about the layoff stuff and to seeif my education will truly be paid for. Fingers crossed. Will update when I find out.

Well I have to study...
I found this picture today while cleaning my computer from work off..to prepare for my last day..

Picture is from 2004 Special Forces picnic at Farrish. Live band and dancing in the great outdoor pavillion had Misa in good spirits despite the cold winds. Needless to say, everyone mentioned his beautiful eyes under his fleece hat.

Be careful with the bloodwork and good luck on the layoff benefit session.

Just finished two hours of my web based curriculum on safeguarding client information and DNC (Do not call) client contact rules--$11,000 first fine for violations of these sensitive laws.

Good night! Dad

Yikes..That is some expense stuff. Jen followings the same thing. She get a list of numbers and has to check if they are on a DNC list using the web.
